Ocean Hammock is the largest gated community in Palm Coast, with roughly two and a half miles of beachfront property. The two names are often used together because they share the same stretch of coastline and much of the same club infrastructure.

Resort club membership, which unlocks the golf courses and pool complex, is generally optional and separate from the base HOA. Beach access is convenient and, depending on the specific building or section, sometimes private.

Hammock Beach and Ocean Hammock sit on A1A south of Flagler Beach, roughly a 15–20 minute drive from central Palm Coast and about 30–40 minutes north of Daytona Beach. The stretch of coastline here is quieter and more exclusive than the more built-up beach towns further south.
